This year's SPRINGFEST will be bigger and better than last year's! Nagoya Springfest
had it's first annual 'party in the park' last April, when over 400 people attended the two day event. There were 14 musicians who performed severa
l different styles of music ranging from pop, reggae, rock, hip hop, tribal and native japanese music. There were also 20 featured artists who
brought their art to SHOWCASE and sell in Central Park. We also had international cuisine, everything from Mexican Tacos to Turkish kebabs to
hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza! It was truly a mini-EXPO right in Central Park!
This years SPRINGFEST promises to be EVEN BETTER. SPRINGFEST has partnered with NAGOYA LIFE and JAPANZINE to bring an INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR
to CENTRAL PARK on MAY 10 and 11th.
SPRINGFEST is an event geared towards the INTERNATIONAL population of Aichi prefecture, and beyond. Our purpose is to bring together
different
cultures for a two day event aimed at promoting cultural and environmental awareness in Aichi. We are lucky to live in Aichi, and we want to
celebrate our different cultures and styles with a TWO DAY 'party in the park', a stone's throw from the TV tower!
We'll have music, food, art, street performers and free giveaways both days-entertainment for EVERYONE - from countries such as the
Phillipines, Brazil, Jamaica, Nigeria, Australia, Japan, US, and more!!
Springfest is a FREE EVENT---please let as many people as you can know about SPRINGFEST. Let's recreate the spirit of the international
EXPO right in the middle of Central Park--come to NAGOYA SPRINGFEST 08, on MAY 10th and 11th!!

今年のナゴヤスプリングフェスタは、昨年度よりも大規模なイベントとなるでしょう。このフェスタは、昨年の４月に“パーティ IN パーク”として初めて開催されました。２日間を通じ400人を超えるお客様にお越しいただきました。ポップ、レゲエ、ロック、ヒップホップそして、日本の伝統音楽など、それぞれの音楽スタイルを持っている14組のミュージシャンがステージでパフォーマンスを魅せました。そして、20組のアーティストが自分の作品を展示・販売しました。また、タコス、ケバブなどなど多国籍な料理を楽しんでいただきました。それは、まさに、セントラルパークで行われた、“ミニ万博”でした。
今年のスプリングフェスタは、さらに活気に満ちたイベントとなるでしょう。スプリングフェスタは、５月10日〜11日の２日間にわたりセントラルパークに「ナゴヤライフ」、「ジャパンジン」と共に異国の風を運んで来ます。このイベントは、国際化が進む愛知県そしてこの中部地方の人々にとって、国際的な地域の住民として成長していくきっかけのイベントでもあります。私たちの目的は、文化や環境保護を意識するなかで、自分と違う文化を体験する機会を多くの方に提供することです。私たちは、今、愛知そしてこの中部地方に住むことができて本当に幸運です。なぜならば、国際化が今、まさに目の前で進んでいる今だからこそ、私たちの持つ様々な文化のスタイルでこのイベントを開催することができるからです。
フィリピーナ、ブラジリアン、ジャマイカン、ナイジェリアン、オーストラリアン、ジャパニーズ、アメリカンなどによって、私たちは音楽・料理・アート・ストリートパフォーマンスによる演出の他、どなたでも無料で作品展示・販売のためのブースを提供いたします。
このスプリングフェスタは、参加無料のイベントです。どなたでもお気軽にご参加できます。たくさんの友達連れて、是非当日セントラルパークに遊びに来てください。みんなで、またあの万博をもう一度作りましょう！！
